Necroscope Metalzine #17
(18/08/2006)

Never heard about this act before, the demo's booklet doesn't contact a snail address, but after the musicians' names I can conclude, we have a pleasure with Italians. I have to confess I was a little afraid to listen to it, when I saw the playtime is 55 minutes and the cover looks like futuristic, science-fiction picture. But fortunately reality becomes to be merciful this time and I've heard a pretty pleasant music. Although still I am in opinion DEATH HEAVEN recorded uncommon stuff definitely. Especially the first part of it seems to be quite weird, the title track, "Nuclear death" is made in such original grinding vein. You know, a lot of fast, wild riffs, screaming vocals and an original parts, "melodies" woven inside. The polish DEFORMED, EPITOME make/made a bit similar "noise" but by much slower songs. Anyway, the rest songs show us a little different face of the Italians. They become to me much simplier, made by more familiar ideas and arranges. So, in "The cannibal of Milwaukee" and "In the name of God" I've noticed more purer death metal riffs, brutal yet catchy with characteristic slowdowns. And two next tracks are more melodic yet, with some "Swedish" or even black metal means! The beginning of the "Sunday of war" is made by very known riff, but I can't remember whose exactly... it would seem that "Techno decomposition world" was composed in a several periods, however the booklet doesn't say anything like this. Never mind, cool that whole sounds a pretty compactly in spite of all and in the result DEATH HEAVEN doesn't look so awfully as I've expected on the beginning, haha!
