SHRUNKEN & MUMMIFIED #9 SEPTEMBER 2007
Band: Death Heaven
Title: Techno Decomposition World
Demo 2005
This demo is amongst the ones on which it is really hard to write any kind
of reviews. It is due to the many elements melted into the music
of these Italians ? I could hardly define a fitting style to this 8-song
disc.
Basically it is brutal Death Metal as their compositions sound, but it is
not as simple as that. Firstly, I couldn?
t do anything with those relaxed parts performed by acoustic guitars here
and there.
Also, while there often are really fast, grinding tempos, the slow, heavy
parts got a big role in each of their tracks.
At some of the guitar melodies and excellent solos Chuck Schuldiner?s name
came into my mind.
Vocals also range from low grunts to some high pitched shrieks.
The most surprising thing is that, according to the enclosed biography, all
the instruments were recorded in the rehearsal room of the band, resulting a
breath-taking final result ? I am sure you won?t notice that this demo hasn't
come from a professional studio!!!
I guess it is more than good in the case of a debut demo, so all that I can
do now is to highly recommend this CD-R for the fans of brutal, but at the
same time technical Death Metal.
5 Euro must do for this bargain I think... (p.s. Only 3 euro is enough, I
got the info from the band after writing this review... P&P included!).
