Death Heaven is an Italian Death Metal band and "Techno Decomposition World" is their first demo, although it's longer than most full lengths at over 55 minutes. All instruments were recorded in their rehearsal room so it's raw, but done very well. It's brutal death with some good acoustics mixed in as well as other electronic effects. The demo was produced by Andrea, the singer, who at only 18 years of age did a helluva good job. I can only imagine how good this band will be when they get in a studio with some professionals at the controls, which I don't think will be too much longer. This is good shiiiaaatt!!!! I'm sure some labels will soon take notice. These guys are talented.
The cd starts with an eerie intro with some electronic noises and sirens before kicking in with some heavy brutality with the title track. Some gut-wrenching growls and blast beating death metal. It's pounding and at almost six minutes long, is one of the shortest songs on the cd. Yeah. The songs are brutal and long. Assaulting you with heavy pounding melodies and seering lead work. "Nuclear Death" is more rhythmic, but compromises nothing with it's screeching and growling vocals. The drums are kicking and the leads are awesome. "The Cannibal Of Milwaukee" is a nine plus minute onslaught of brutal Death. It's long, but not tiresome. It's got everything. Blast beating drums, heavy pounding, but melodic rhythms, seering leads and gutteral growling vocals. They just keep bringin' it for nine freakin' minutes!! "In The Name Of God" will make any Bolt Thrower fan a Death Heaven fan. It's hard and driving, showing a good mix of crunching guitars and speed, with more awesome lead work. "Shadows In Darkness" is another marathon of brutality which turns up the speed a bit for eight minutes. It's melodic, but heavy enough to pound you into the ground and the vocals are top notch death. I'm really liking this cd more and more every time I pop it in. Most songs have awesome 'Italian' acoustics interlaced and they all seem to work very well. As I stated earlier, these guys are talented musicians in every way. "Sunday Of War" rings in with seering leads and a gut wrenching growl, before laying down an awesome heavy rhythm and mixes pounding with speed for over ten minutes. As I said before, the songs are long and brutal, not tiring at all. "Faith In Nothing" ends the marathon assault in much the same fashion with good speed, steady heavy ass melody, brutal ass vocals, seering leads and pounding bass and drums. Eerie interlude to end it all too. Good effects. The cd kicks ass!!
I don't think it will be too long before we hear from Death Heaven on a major label. These guys have too much talent and ambition NOT to be heard. Hell, I commend them for getting the cd from Italy to my doorstep in New Jersey. Great work guys. Great demo!!
